Activate Amazon Alexa via My Verizon app

Use the My Verizon app to set up your K2 Mesh Wi-Fi Extender as another Amazon® Alexa® device. This is a simple way to extend the reach of your voice commands and manage smart devices on your 5G Home network.

Before you begin

You'll need your Amazon account info to set up your Alexa. If you don't have an existing Amazon account, you can sign up for one on the Amazon.com website.

Steps

  1. Open the
    My Verizon app
    .
  2. Tap the
    Home tab
    .
  3. From the Home devices section, tap the device to manage.
  4. Tap
    Network settings
    .
  5. From the Wifi-Extenders section, tap
    Connected
     to the right of the applicable device.
  6. Tap
    Connect Alexa
    .
  7. From the Connect Alexa screen, tap
    Get Started
    .
  8. From the 5G Home Alexa Setup screen, a list of extenders that are Alexa capable display. Tap
    Sign in to Alexa
     next to a device to turn on Alexa.
  9. Enter your Amazon username and password and tap
    Sign in
    .
  10. Once signed in, you are successfully linked to Amazon and have Alexa enabled on the selected device. Tap
    Done
     to complete the setup.
  11. Repeat steps 8-10 to turn on other Alexa-compatible devices on the list.
