motorola razr - Manage Hotspot Settings

Here's how to configure the hotspot settings (e.g., password, network name, etc.) on your razr.
  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Network & internet
    Mobile Hotspot & Tethering
    Mobile Hotspot
    .
  3. Tap the
    Mobile hotspot switch
     to turn on.
  4. Configure the following as needed:
    • Hotspot name (SSID)
    • Hide my device
    • Security (e.g., None, WPA2 Personal)
    • Hotspot password
      The new password must be entered on the connecting device.
      1. Tap the Password field to remove the existing password.
      2. Enter the password then tap
        OK
        .
    • Tap
      Advanced
       to configure:
      • AP Band (2.4 GHz or 5 GHz)
      • Manage devices
        1. Tap
          Manage allowed devices
          .
        2. Tap
          Allow all devices
           to enable or disable.
        3. To add, tap
          Add allowed device
           enter the MAC address and device name then tap
          OK
          .
      • Device limit (e.g., 1-10).
      • Timeout settings (e.g., Never turn-off, 5 mins, etc).
