moto g7 play - Customize Your Home Screen
Personalizing the Home screen on your moto g7 play makes daily tasks easier. Add, remove, or arrange apps, use widgets, or set a wallpaper that matches your style.
Add Apps
- From a Home screen, swipe up to access all apps.
- Touch and hold the desired app.
- Drag the icon to the preferred Home screen location then release.For the app to be successfully added, there must be sufficient space within the selected Home screen. If needed, more Home screen panels may be added.
Add Widgets
- Touch and hold an empty area of a Home screen.
- TapWidgets

- Touch and hold a widget.
- Drag the widget to the preferred Home screen then release.For the app to be successfully added, there must be sufficient space within the selected Home screen. If needed, more Home screen panels may be added.
- If applicable, tap additional options to activate widget.Options vary depending upon the type of widget.
Add / Remove Folders
- From a Home screen, touch and hold a shortcut (e.g., Email).
- Drag the shortcut onto another shortcut (e.g., Gmail) then release.A folder containing the shortcuts is created (titled Unnamed Folder). The folder can be renamed.
- Tap the folder.
- Tap the title bar (bottom of oen folder).
- Enter a name then tap theDone icon.To remove a folder, drag the app(s) out of an exisiting folder until the folder dissapears.
Remove Apps / Widgets
- From a Home screen, touch and hold the item (e.g., widget, shortcut, etc.).
- Drag the item to 'Remove'
then release.
Set Wallpapers
- From a Home screen, touch and hold a blank space.
- From the on-screen prompt, tapWallpapers.
- Select a wallpaper category (e.g., Photos, Live Wallpapers, Wallpapers, etc.).
- Locate then tap the preferred picture.
- TapSET WALLPAPERthen choose an option:
- Home screen
- Lock screen
- Home screen and lock screen
