Samsung Galaxy Watch Active2 - Create and Send a Text Message

Here's how to create and send a text message from your Galaxy Watch Active2.
  • Currently, the Galaxy Watch Active2 doesn't support replying to text with an Apple® iPhone®.
  • From your Android™ smartphone, ensure your Galaxy Watch Active2 software is up to date as the steps below apply to the most recent version.
  1. From the watch screen, press the
    Home button
     to open the apps screen.
    Press and hold the Power button
  2. Double-tap the
    Messages icon Messages icon
    .
  3. Tap the
    Contacts icon Contacts icon
    .
  4. Select the desired contact.
    Swipe up or down to scroll through the contacts list.
  5. Tap the
    New Message icon New Message icon
    .
  6. Do one of the following:
    • Use Voice Service to create text:
      1. Tap the
        Voice icon Voice icon
        .
        If necessary, review the Privacy Policy then tap
        Agree
        .
      2. If prompted, tap the
        Checkmark icon
         to allow Watch Input to access the microphone.
      3. Speak your message then tap
        Send
        .
    • Send an Emoji:
      1. Tap the
        Emoji icon Emoji icon
        .
      2. Tap the desired emoji to send.
    • Type a Message:
      1. Tap the
        Text icon Text icon
        .
      2. In the 'Write text by hand' field, draw your message then tap
        Send
        .
