Google Pixel Smartphones - Use Caller ID & Spam Protection

Here's how to prevent spam calls on your Google Pixel smartphone.
Pixel smartphones allow you to screen calls before answering them. For more info, refer to Google Call Screening.
  1. Open the
    Phone app
    .
  2. Tap the
    3-dot Menu icon
    .
  3. Navigate:
    Settings
    Caller ID & spam
    .
  4. Tap the
    Caller ID & spam switch
     to turn on or off.
    To prevent spam calls from ringing on your phone, tap the
    Filter spam calls switch
     to turn on.
    To manually mark a call as spam and report the spammer:
    1. Navigate:
      Phone app
      Recents tab
      .
    2. Tap and hold the desired call.
    3. Tap
      Block or report
      .
    4. Tap any of the options (i.e., Block number, Report call as scam, etc.).
    5. Tap
      Submit
      .
