Orbic Journey V / Orbic Journey - Enable / Disable / Modify SIM PIN

Here's how to modify or turn the SIM PIN for your Journey V / Journey on or off.
  • Enabling the SIM PIN locks the SIM card, so it can't be used until the correct code is entered.
  • If the incorrect PIN code is entered too many times, refer to My Verizon Website - Locate the SIM PIN / PUK to obtain a new PIN Unblocking Key (PUK).
  1. Open the
    Settings & Tools app
     on your Orbic® Journey™ V / Orbic Journey® .
    Utilize the 5-way navigation pad to highlight and the center button to select
  2. Navigate:
    Settings
    Phone settings
    Security
    Others
    .
    If unavailable, ensure a SIM card is properly inserted.
  3. Select
    SIM card lock
    .
  4. Select
    Lock SIM card
     to turn on or off then select
    SET
    .
  5. Enter the SIM PIN then tap
    OK
    .
    The default SIM PIN is 1111.
  6. To change your SIM PIN, ensure the switch is turned on then do the following:
    1. Select
      Change SIM PIN
      .
    2. Enter the current SIM PIN then select
      OK
      .
    3. Enter a new SIM PIN then select
      OK
      .
    4. Re-enter the new SIM PIN then select
      OK
      .
