Alcatel Avalon - Customize Your Home Screen

Personalizing the Home screen on your Alcatel Avalon™ makes daily tasks easier. Add, remove, or arrange apps, use widgets, or set a wallpaper that matches your style.

Add Apps

  1. Touch and hold an app.
  2. Drag the shortcut to the desired Home screen then release.

Add Widgets

  1. Touch and hold an empty area on a Home screen.
  2. Tap
    Widgets
     at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Touch and hold a widget.
  4. Drag the widget to the preferred Home screen then release.
  5. If applicable, select additional options to activate the widget.

Add / Remove Folders

  1. From a Home screen, touch and hold a shortcut (e.g., Calendar).
  2. Drag-and-drop the shortcut onto another shortcut (e.g., Gmail) to add an unnamed folder.
  3. Do one of the following:
    • To rename the folder:
      1. Tap the folder.
      2. Tap the
        Title bar
         at the top of the open folder.
      3. Enter a name then tap
        OK
        .
    • To remove a folder:
      1. Drag the app(s) out of an existing folder until the folder disappears.

Remove Apps / Widgets

  1. From a Home screen, touch and hold the item (e.g., widget, shortcut, etc.).
  2. Drag the item to 'Remove' at the top of the screen then release.
    Removing an app from a Home screen uninstalls it from your device.

Set Wallpaper

  1. Touch and hold a blank space on a Home screen.
  2. Tap
    Wallpapers
    .
  3. Tap 'My photos' or select a wallpaper.
    If 'My photos' is selected, locate then tap the preferred picture.
  4. Select one of the following:
    • Home screen
    • Lock screen
    • Home screen and lock screen
  5. Tap
    Set Wallpaper
