Manage Hotspot Settings

Turn on the hotspot feature for your Galaxy S10 5G to share mobile data with other devices. Set up the network name, password and security type to enhance security.

Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Connections
    Mobile Hotspot and Tethering
    Mobile Hotspot
    .
  3. Tap
    Configure
    .
  4. Select any of the following to configure:
    • Network name
    • Password
      1. Tap the
        Password field
         to remove the existing password.
      2. Enter the password then tap
        Save
        .
    • Band (2.4 GHz or 5 GHz preferred)
    • Security (Open or WPA2 PSK)
  5. To hide your Mobile Hotspot's name, tap
    Advanced
    .
  6. Tap the
    Hidden network switch
     to turn on.
  7. Tap
    Turn off when no device connected for
     then select an option (e.g., Never timeout, 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 60 minutes, etc.).
  8. Tap
    Save
    .
