SEO: Personalizing the Home screen on your Alcatel Avalon™ V makes daily tasks easier. Add, remove, or arrange apps, use widgets, or set a wallpaper that matches your style.

Add Apps

  1. From a Home screen, swipe up from the center of the display to access the apps screen.
  2. Touch and hold an app.
  3. Drag the shortcut to the desired Home screen then release.
    For the app to be successfully added, there must be enough space within the selected Home screen. If needed, more Home screen panels may be added.

Add Widgets

  1. Touch and hold an empty area on a Home screen.
  2. Tap
    Widgets
    .
  3. Touch and hold a widget.
  4. Drag the widget to the preferred Home screen then release.
    For the widget to be successfully added, there must be enough space within the selected Home screen. If needed, more Home screen panels may be added.
  5. If applicable, select additional options to activate the widget.
    Options vary depending on the type of widget.

Add / Remove Folders

  1. From a Home screen, touch and hold an app (e.g., Gmail).
  2. Drag the app onto another app (e.g., Calendar) then release it to add an unnamed folder.
  3. Do one of the following:
    • To rename the folder:
      1. Tap the folder.
      2. Tap the
        Title bar
         at the top of the open folder.
      3. Enter a name then tap
        OK
        .
    • To remove a folder:
      1. Drag the app(s) out of an existing folder until the folder disappears.

Remove Apps / Widgets

  1. From a Home screen, touch and hold the item (e.g., widget, shortcut, etc.).
  2. Drag the item to 'Remove' at the top of the screen then release it.
    Removing an app from a Home screen uninstalls it from your device.

Set Wallpaper

  1. Touch and hold a blank space on a Home screen.
  2. Tap
    Wallpapers
    .
  3. Tap 'My photos' or select a wallpaper.
    If 'My photos' is selected, locate then tap the preferred picture.
  4. Select one of the following:
    • Home screen
    • Lock screen
    • Home screen and lock screen
  5. Tap
    Set Wallpaper
