Remove Device From Find My App

Removing a device from Find My using the iCloud® website is important when you no longer have the device. This ensures it's no longer associated with your account and helps keep your Apple® ID secure.

Before you begin

Make sure the Find My app is turned off before activating your new iPhone®.
Stolen Device Protection is turned off in the Touch ID Preferences or Face ID Settings.

Steps

  1. From a web browser, sign in to iCloud® using your Apple ID and password.

  2. Click
    All Devices
    .
  3. Select the desired device then tap
    Remove This Device
    .
    • A gray dot indicates it's offline.
      If offline, the erase begins the next time it connects to a Wi-Fi or Cellular network.
    • A blue or green dot indicates it's online.
