Remove SD / Memory Card

If your Galaxy S10 / S10+ / S10e is low on storage, use an SD card for extra space. Follow these steps to remove it without losing data.

Before you begin

Don't attempt to remove the SD / memory card while the device is powered on. Doing so may harm the card and/or the device.

Steps

  1. From the top edge of the device (display facing up), utilize the insertion/removal tool (or a paperclip) to unlock the tray by inserting it into the provided slot remove the card tray.

  2. Do one of the following:
    • To insert the SD / Memory Card, press in on the tray to lock it into place.

    • To remove the SD / Memory Card, carefully lift from the bottom of the card. To assist, use the opening on the opposite side of the tray to dislodge (using a fingernail or similar tool).
