If you use two phone numbers on your Apple® iPhone®, changing the default helps ensure data usage is billed to your preferred line.

Before you begin

The steps below apply to the following iPhone models:

iPhone XS / XS Max and newer models

iPhone SE (3rd Gen)

Only 1 mobile number can use cellular data at a time.

Open the

Settings app

Tap

Cellular

Tap

Cellular Data

Tap the preferred number for cellular data.

If a line is active on a Second Number price plan (talk and text), don't select the Second Number line for data use.

Tap the

Allow Cellular Data Switching switch

to turn on or off.
