Here's how to turn NFC on or off so compatible apps can transfer files from your Pixel 3 / 3 XL.

Near Field Communication (NFC) allows the transfer of data between devices that are a few centimeters apart, typically back-to-back.

NFC must be turned on for NFC-based apps (e.g., Google Pay) to function correctly.

From a Home screen, swipe up to display all apps.

Navigate:

Settings

Connected devices

Tap

Connection preferences

Tap

NFC

then tap the

Use NFC switch

to turn on On icon

or off
