Adjust Gmail™ sync settings on your Galaxy J3 V / Galaxy J3 (3rd Gen.) to stay on top of your email in real time. If preferred, you can also manually update your inbox, calendar, contacts, etc.
  1. Open the
    Settings

  2. Navigate:
    Accounts and backup
    Accounts
    .
  3. Select the applicable Gmail address.
  4. Tap
    Sync account
    .
  5. Tap the applicable data sync options (e.g., Contacts, Gmail, etc.) to turn on or off.
  6. To perform a manual synchronization:
    1. Tap the
      Menu icon
       Menu icon.
    2. Tap
      Sync now
