My Verizon app
Change Mobile Number

Change your mobile number directly in the My Verizon app. This is the simplest way to get a new one, whether you’ve moved to a new area code or just want a change.

Steps

  1. Open the
    My Verizon app
    .
  2. Tap the
    Mobile tab
     then tap
    Manage devices
    .
  3. Tap
    Device Management
     then tap
    Change mobile number
    .
  4. Select the current mobile number you want to change then tap
    Continue
    .
  5. Tap
    Get a new number
    .
  6. Enter the applicable 5-digit Zip code associated with your new mobile number.
  7. Tap the
    Down Arrow icon
     to choose the first 6 digits of your new number.
  8. Select a date you want your number to change then tap
    Continue
    .
  9. the last 4 digits of your new number then tap
    Continue
    .
  10. Review the info then tap
    Submit
    .
  11. On the date selected in step 8, power the device off and back on then wait approximately 2 minutes for the device to update.
    A confirmation email is also sent to the address registered to My Verizon with additional instructions to complete the mobile number change.
