Set Ringtones / Notification Sounds

Choosing custom ringtones or notification sounds helps you differentiate alert sounds on your Galaxy S9 / S9+ from others around you.

Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Tap
    Sounds and vibration
    .
  3. Do any of the following:
    • To set a ringtone:
      1. Tap
        Ringtone
        .
      2. If multiple mobile network plans are present (i.e., eSIM and physical SIM card), select the preferred SIM.
      3. Select a ringtone then tap the
        Back arrow
         to save and return to the previous screen.
    • To set a notification sound:
      1. Tap
        Notification sound
        .
      2. If multiple mobile network plans are present (i.e., eSIM and physical SIM card), select the preferred SIM.
      3. Select the preferred notification sound then tap the
        Back arrow
         to save and return to the previous screen.
