Here's how to change permissions to allow or block sending premium texts from your Galaxy S8 / S8+.

Steps only apply if you've previously used a messaging app to send a text to a premium content provider or short code.

Short codes are typically 5 or 6 digit numbers commonly used when participating in contests, making donations, etc.

Open the

Settings app

Tap

Apps

Ensure All apps is selected.

If necessary, tap the

Dropdown icon

then select

All

Tap the

Special access

Tap

Use Premium text message services

Tap the app then select an option:
