Manage Hotspot Settings

Turn on the hotspot feature for your Toyota in-car Wi-Fi to share mobile data with other devices. Set up the network name, password and security type to enhance security.

Before you begin

Before following the step below, make sure you're signed up for Connected Car Service.
Your Toyota must be running or in accessory mode for the Wi-Fi Hotspot to function.
To view / change the network name or password, refer to the following:
  • Access Point Name / Network name / SSID: The name that identifies the wireless network.
  • Wi-Fi Password: The password that is needed to connect to the Wi-Fi network.

Steps

  1. From the head unit, press the
    Menu button
    .
  2. Tap
    Setup
    .
  3. Tap
    Wi-Fi
    .
  4. Select any of the following to view or change settings:
    • Access Point Name
    • Password
      1. To view the password, tap
        Password
        .
      2. Tap
        Show characters
         to turn on.
    • Wi-Fi Hotspot
      1. Tap to turn on or off.
    • Hide Access Point
      For the easiest connection experience, it's recommended to leave broadcast on.
    • Security
    • Channel
