Samsung Galaxy S8 / S8+ - Manage Contactless Payments

Here's how to set up your Galaxy S8 / S8+ to pay for items just by touching your phone to a reader at a checkout register.
  • When NFC is turned on, you can use the tap & pay feature to pay for items just by touching your phone to a reader at a checkout register. If your device does not have a payment app, you can browse Google Play™ Store for payment apps.
  • To use 'Tap & pay', NFC must be enabled.
  • To Download and Install apps, refer to Install Apps.
This feature manages payment apps. The Tap & pay option does not apply to Android Beam and won't include certain apps such as money transfer apps.
  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Connections
    NFC and payment
    .
  3. Tap the
    NFC Switch
     to turn on or off.
    If presented, review the message then tap
    OK
    .
  4. Tap
    Tap and pay
    .
    All activated wallets are added under 'Tap and pay'.
    If multiple wallets are activated, a user can at any point change the default by going to 'Tap and pay' and update selection.
