Troubleshoot calling issues or avoid roaming charges while traveling internationally with your Apple® iPhone® 6 / 6 Plus.

Before you begin

Turning on voice roaming may result in roaming charges. For specific info about using your iPhone while traveling internationally, click the
Get Started button
 on the International Trip Planner. Prepaid customers, visit the Prepaid International Plans page.

Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Cellular
    Cellular Data Options
    Roaming
    .
  3. Tap the
    Voice Roaming switch
     to turn on or off.
    Voice Roaming must be on for the Data Roaming and International CDMA options to be available.
  4. Tap the
    International CDMA switch
     to turn on or off.
    Turning off International CDMA while in another country may improve poor messaging or data performance.
