GPS location access is needed by some apps on your Apple® iPhone® to provide turn-by-turn directions or share your location, but can be turned off to save battery life.

Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Privacy & Security
    Location Services
    .
  3. Tap the
    Location Services switch
     to turn on or off.
  4. Tap
    Share My Location
    .
  5. Tap the
    Share My Location switch
     to turn on or off.
  6. Tap
    System Services
    .
  7. Tap the desired system service switches (e.g., Alerts & Shortcuts Automations, Call Network Search, etc.) to turn on or off.
  8. Tap
    Significant Locations
    .
  9. Tap the
    Significant Locations switch
     to turn on or off.
