Move a Call Between Devices

Moving a call between endpoints gives you flexibility during your workday. Start a call on one device, like your desk phone, and move it to your mobile app when you need to leave, ensuring the call is never dropped.

Before you begin

The option to move a call isn't available from the Android™ native dialer.
Refer to the list of One Talk Supported Devices.
For further assistance, refer to the One Talk Simulator. Select your device then select
Moving a call from a desk phone to another device
 from the list of topics.

Desk Phone to Mobile App

  1. During an active call on the desk phone, press
    Hold
    .
    On the desk phone, the line key shows a flashing red light while the caller is on hold.
    For the One Talk DECT IP Cordless Phone, select
    Options
    Hold
    .
  2. From the One Talk mobile app, tap the
    Active Call Info bar
     at the top of the screen to continue the call.
  3. Tap the
    Down arrow
     to expand the menu.
  4. Tap
    Retrieve
     to pick up the active call.

Desk Phone to iOS Native Dialer

  1. During an active call on the desk phone, press
    Hold
    .
    On the desk phone, the line key shows a flashing red light while the caller is on hold.
    For the One Talk DECT IP Cordless Phone, navigate:
    Options
    Hold
    .
  2. From your iPhone, open the
    Phone app
    .
  3. Tap the
    Keypad icon
     then enter
    **11
     to continue the call.

Mobile App / Enhanced Dialer to Desk Phone

  1. During an active call on the One Talk mobile device, tap
    Hold
     during a call.
  2. Pick up the desk phone handset then press the
    Line key
     to continue the call.
    On the desk phone, the line key shows a flashing red light while the caller is on hold.
    For the One Talk DECT IP Cordless Phone, press
    Line
     then select the line on hold to continue the call.

iOS Native Dialer to Desk Phone

  1. During an active call on your iPhone, touch and hold
    Mute
     for 5 seconds to place the call on hold.
  2. Pick up the desk phone handset then press the
    Line key
     to continue the call.
    On the desk phone, the line key shows a flashing red light while the caller is on hold.
    For the One Talk DECT IP Cordless Phone, press
    Line
     then select the line on hold to continue the call.
