Samsung Galaxy S7 / S7 edge - Set Up Kids Mode

Here's how to set up Kids Mode on your Galaxy S7 / S7 edge.
  • Kids Mode provides fun and safe content for kids.
  • Kids Mode provides the ability to allow or restrict access to apps and stored media content on the device.
  1. Tap the
    Galaxy Essentials widget
    .
  2. Tap
    Kids Mode
    then tap
    Install
    .
  3. Tap
    Open
    .
  4. From the pop-ups, select
    Allow
    for the following:
    If you select Deny to any of the following, Kids Mode only gives access to the Camera.
    • Allow Kids Mode to access contacts?
    • Allow Kids Mode to access photos, media, and files on your device?
    • Allow Kids Mode to make and manage phone calls?
  5. Tap
    Open
    then tap
    Install.
  6. Tap
    Let's Get Started
    .
  7. Enter, then confirm, a four-digit PIN.
  8. Enter the appropriate Name then tap
    Next Next arrow
    (located in the lower-right).
  9. Enter the appropriate Date of birth then tap
    Done
    (located in the lower-right).
  10. Enter the appropriate Gender then tap
    Next Next arrow
    .
  11. Tap
    Skip
    .
  12. Review the Disclaimer then tap
    Accept
     (located at the bottom) to continue.
  13. From the "Add apps" screen, tap the preferred app(s) then tap
    Next Next arrow
    .
    Enabled when a check mark is present.
    If no apps are available, tap
    Skip Next arrow
    .
  14. Tap
    Next Next arrow
    .
  15. Tap
    Finish
    .
    If incorrect PIN is entered 5 times, from the Forgot your PIN? screen tap
    Exit
    . The user is prompted to set a new PIN upon re-entering Kids Mode.
    To exit Kids Mode, tap the
    Door icon
     (located in the lower-right) then enter your PIN.
