Update Connected Device Emergency Address (E911)

Ensure emergency responders have the correct location for your watch, tablet, etc. by updating your emergency address through the My Verizon website.

Before you begin

A valid US address is required for E911 functionality.
This info gets transmitted to the emergency dispatcher for all 911 calls made using a Wi-Fi network.
If address validation fails then the users will be prompted to enter a new address until a valid address is entered.
The option to manage an E911 address will only appear if the number is eligible as a Host MDN.

Steps

  1. From a web browser, sign in to My Verizon.
  2. Navigate:
    Account
    Account settings
    Account settings overview
    .
  3. From the Contact & Billing section, select
    E911 addresses
    .
  4. From the Manage E911 addresses section select
    Edit
     to the right of the appropriate number.
  5. Enter the new address then select
    Save Changes
