Verizon Cloud (Android)
Restore Content

After a master reset or switching to a new device, or if content is missing, use this process to download your backed-up media, contacts, call logs and more from the Verizon Cloud app back onto your Android™ device.

Before you begin

If switching to a new device, ensure the content from the old device is backed up before activating the new device. For more info, refer to Verizon Cloud - Manage Settings.
Text messages are restored to the default text messaging app.
Unless a tablet has its own 10-digit mobile number, it shares a Verizon Cloud account with another device.
Deleting a photo, video, music file, or document from the device's internal file system doesn't delete the content from Verizon Cloud.

Steps

  1. Open the
    Verizon Cloud app
    .
  2. Tap the
    Gear icon
    .
  3. Tap
    Restore content
    .
  4. Select any of the options (e.g., Photos, Documents, Calls, etc.) then tap
    Restore
    .
If the word RESTORE or the option for a specific content type is grayed out it indicates there is no content available to be restored to the device.
  5. When 'Restore from Verizon Cloud complete' appears, restart the device then view restored content.
If only some of the selected items restore, Reset the app to clear the data then attempt to restore content again.
