DON'T Waste Your Time and Money

This wifi extender did not increase the reliability, throughput, deadspot coverage area. nor latency of my FIOS internet connectivity. As a matter of fact, it made severely impacted instability of Verizon FIOS internet rather than improving my services. Not worth the increased monthly cost considering it made the signal connection to Fios internet much worse than it was prior.

So tired of Verizon slow internet service.

I’ve been having a difficult time with Verizon’s service. I must say, I believe they are the worst provider. Their internet router and extender are terrible. On a lucky day, I can get 6 to 22 megabits per second, but on a bad day, I’ll only get 68 kilobits per second. I’m just waiting for the Starlink 5G mobile to be finalized so that I can switch my mobile and internet services to them. I’m so tired of Verizon’s sluggish service.

Overpriced & Doesn’t Solve the Problem

lklerekoper . 5 months ago

To have to pay $200 for an extender when I’m already paying a lot monthly for the 5G home system is insane. How about you make a router that is good enough to not cause connectivity issues? I live in an apartment so not a huge space & shouldn’t have these issues. On top of that, this model is incompatible w/ my router, so why did Verizon recommend it? Obviously, sales are more important than actual customer service. Now I have to waste more time packing it up and taking it to mail.

Terrible solution

BenJ . 9 months ago

Worst solution for a wifi mesh setup with MoCa backhaul. Wifi 6 doesn't even work so I had to turn it off in order to improve my network performance. VZ went with the lowest bidder with the worst components. Difficult to setup static IPv4 because it is by device name and not MAC.

Do Better Verizon

I switched to Verizon home internet a few years ago and have been extremely happy with the speed and ease of use. I recently moved to a larger home and needed more coverage. The website helped me determine this was the right product to extend my wifi range. The instructions that came with it looked easy enough, but #3 is confusing (what happens if it's a solid yellow light?). When clicking the QR code for more help I received a message that this product wasn't associated to my account. Two calls to customer service that lasted 45 minutes each, with the second having me connect my router and the extender via the cable that was included. #notcorrect Coverage wasn't any better. Tried the signal strength tools. After digging through the website I finally found the 73 page user manual which gave me WAY more instruction on how to set-up and access. Please don't make this so hard. Verizon, send the full manual with the product or link straight to it. I don't waste my time with sales pitches when I'm trying to get my home internet to work. #wastemytime

Stronger signals

Mike Mo . 1 year ago

Yes, I'd recommend this product.

Stronger signal throughout the house. I directly wired the extender to the Router. Not a weak signal anywhere in the house

Poor signal to the extender

Craig . 1 year ago

Its hard to tell if its working properly because the signal to the house is terrible.

Love it! Once the setup headache was complete…

Yes, I'd recommend this product.

Great product! However the setup wasn’t as easy at the one card instruction sheet. Mine would flash yellow and white but that wasn’t explained. Plus there was a slow and fast flash…which I thought meant something entirely different. It also in the beginning would power itself off and then restart on its own…def made me want to pull some hair out. Best thing I did was google what the different colors and flashes meant, watch some of their videos…and voila it’s up and running and works really good. Just a bit frustrating on the setup side. Good luck!

I guess I have a newer router and this one didn’t work with it. So check to see it’s compatible before you order it!

Upset Customer . Jun 12, 2026

Why is Verizon lying to its customers? Verizon does not have an extender that is compatible with the WNC‑CR200A. If you purchased the Ultimate 5G Home Package, you should do each of the following: file FCC, FTC, BBB, and your State's AG complaints.

Answer from Verizon Customer Support4 months

Based on internal resources I do show that the WNC‑CR200A is compatible with our CE1000A Wi-Fi Extender. If you need specific device support you can look at your options here: https://www.verizon.com/digital/nsa/nos/ui/ngd/contactus
